I refer to the recent publication in your esteemed newspaper on matters concerning the former NPP Women’s Organiser in Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Ms. Comfort Attah.

The problem has absolutely nothing to do with the competition between two dignified gentlemen-Alan Kyerematen and Nana Akufo Addo. This habit of dragging big political names into clear issues must stop if dirty politics in Ghana should cease.

Ms. Comfort Attah was not a member of NPP Dome-Kwabenya till she suddenly surfaced some few months before the 2008 elections. We never knew her and when she sought to contest elections in November 2009, I, Nathaniel Sey and several others took her on as a possible plant by a rival political party.

As early as November 2009, she was challenged as a contestant for the Women’s Organizer position because she was not a voter in the constituency. At the vetting stage, this was upheld by the Regional officer in charge. At that time, there was no Nana-Alan contest.

On the election date itself, a few days later, she brought some false documents supposedly from the Electoral Commission, and deceived the Elections Committee and EC officials that she was a transferred voter in the 2008 elections. The document allowed her to stand. We challenged the decision but to no avail. There was no Alan-Nana rivalry then.

We did not stop when she stood and won. We hired a lawyer. The party was duly notified and our case was taken to court. We had judgment against the party in February 2010 to remove her from office. This has at long last been done and she has been removed.

I attach copies for all correspondence on the matter for you to tell the world the whole truth.
Please note that her name was not on the Transferred Voters List for Dome-Kwabenya for the 2008 elections and indeed no transfers were made within Greater Accra from one constituency to another for the elections. It was only done from one Region to another.

Indeed, we are going to press criminal charges for this wrongdoing and advise all and sundry to ignore such people and their falsehood to sanitise politics in the NPP and in Ghana as a whole.

Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Nathaniel Sey
For Nathaniel Sey and 30 others who took the case to court and the teeming NPP members who love the truth and detest imposters.
