By: Kofi Owusu Aduonum

After a tumultuous World Cup, former France coach Raymond Domenech is now likely to lose his job as a French football federation employee.

Domenech was replaced by former Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc after the World Cup, but he kept his job at the federation.

French federation president Fernand Duchaussoy, however, says he met with Domenech last week and that a gentlemen’s agreement was likely to be found within a month. French newspapers reported after the World Cup that Domenech could receive up to 2 million ($2.5 million) in severance.

France failed to advance past the first round in South Africa, and Domenech was criticized for his passive attitude.
